Changes

Since 2001 TuxMathScrabble has used PyGame. As an experiment I ported it to JavaScript. It went very well and running in the browser has several advantages, like no installation, platform independence, jQuery, HTML5, webGL, the sky is really the limit and JavaScript is very close to Python, of course. I love PyGame but I doubt I'll ever use it again now that I can write almost identical code and run on the web!

TuxMathScrabble-0.8.0 released December 6, 2014. This is a bug-fix ++ version. Mainly fixed wxpython issues to work with both wx2.8 and wx3.0. The online web version is still the best one to use now, but this was important for various Linux distributions which have contacted me regarding wx compatibility. Tested on Mac OS-X and Ubuntu 14.

Here is a screenshot of new mobile version, January 6, 2015. It has been designed to rescale to fit any device, from large displays to small phones. This image is from the $39 tablet I purchased to develop it on. I will add the penguin animations back after adding some mobile-friendliness to the website.
