newtonis penguin
(newtonis)
This game is a network version of the classic Head sports soccer flash game. It uses a modified version of PodSixNet to use both TCP and UDP network protocols.
Currently the server handles everything so in order to perform well the ping should be constantly <250ms because if there are jumps of big ping currently there is any mechanism to stop the game during that lag period.
In local network it will never happens, but in internet games if the internet works bad it could happen, however with a ping 300ms or less the game is really playable.
Download the executable linux and windows versions in the projects blog, and also the source, but you will need our modified version of podsixnet *plus* pybox2d to run source. I am currently uploading all of these to the web.
All versions include both server and client. *main.py* is the client executable while *server_run.py* is the server one.
